Just in time for Thanksgiving, try this Beretta family favourite!
Ingredients
1 ½ lbs Beretta Honey Garlic OR Cranberry Breakfast Sausage, meat removed from casings
1 Onion, finely chopped
2 Celery Stalks, with leaves, finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 ½ lbs Mushrooms, finely chopped
7 sprigs fresh Thyme, leaves only
2 tsp Sage
Salt and Pepper to taste.
6-8 cups fresh bread crumbs
Saute sausage, onion, garlic, celery and mushrooms until the sausage is fully cooked, 7-10 minutes.
Add fresh thyme, sage, salt and pepper. Remove from heat when there is still some liquid at the
bottom of the pot. Combine the bread crumbs with sausage mixture and mix well. Cover and let cool
before stuffing the turkey. Enjoy and careful not to eat it all before you stuff the bird!!
