Cynthia’s Turkey Stuffing

Just in time for Thanksgiving, try this Beretta family favourite!

Ingredients
1 ½ lbs Beretta Honey Garlic OR Cranberry Breakfast Sausage, meat removed from casings
1 Onion, finely chopped
2 Celery Stalks, with leaves, finely chopped
2 Garlic cloves, finely chopped
1 ½ lbs Mushrooms, finely chopped
7 sprigs fresh Thyme, leaves only
2 tsp Sage
Salt and Pepper to taste.
6-8 cups fresh bread crumbs

Saute sausage, onion, garlic, celery and mushrooms until the sausage is fully cooked, 7-10 minutes.
Add fresh thyme, sage, salt and pepper. Remove from heat when there is still some liquid at the
bottom of the pot. Combine the bread crumbs with sausage mixture and mix well. Cover and let cool
before stuffing the turkey. Enjoy and careful not to eat it all before you stuff the bird!!

As you know, our Broil King BBQ giveaway is coming to a close on July 12 and we have received a number of great tips from all of you! But before make any announcement, we would like to introduce you to BBQ Naz who will be helping us choose our winner.

Naz Cavallaro has been dreaming of making an impact in the food industry since he was a kid. In the late ’90s he decided to focus on educating customers about food and the amazing meals that can be made using a barbecue, hence his nickname “BBQ Naz”! With his tips and tricks, Naz has the ability to simplify the grilling process, helping customers understand control and technique when standing in front of a grill – there’s a reason why he’s the “Grilling Expert”!

Winning countless rewards such as the “People’s Choice Award” in 1993 for top restaurant in Toronto, as well as his participation in a variety of charities, Naz is a BBQ genius and a chef you’ve got to look out for.

The Electrolux Taste Theatre is where you can see top Torontonian chefs create one of a kind dishes, sharing some trade secrets and offering tips and advice! Cookery Master Classes give you a chance to create your own delicious masterpiece with the help of guest chefs and maybe pick up some kitchen secrets on the way! Sip your way through the Tasting Room-an educational session that teaches you about the art of pairing beverages to food. And once you feel the need to step away from the hustle and bustle of the amazing food market setting, the VIP Lounge is here for you to relax and bask in your dancing taste buds while the Music stage fills your ears.

Beretta will be at all 4 days of the event giving away samples, selling products and offering all visitors to our booth a little surprise. For a festival that has been foodie heaven for close to 20 different cities globally, we couldn’t be more thrilled to be part of Toronto’s first and we hope to see you there to celebrate with us!

 

Family Farm Day

What better way to celebrate summer than with Family Farm Day!

We are excited to have you and your family join us July 12 for a day on our King City farm. We want to give you a taste of country life as you explore the farm with our cattle, chicken, sheep and pigs-even give them something to eat! Watch Mike Beretta demonstrate how to milk a cow and participate in collecting some farm fresh eggs! And after an exciting day amongst our farm friends, bask in the country air as we supply you with a delicious Beretta lunch with special thanks to Whole Foods for supplying all the lunch extras! And if you want to go home with some Beretta Farm products, we will be selling lots for you to take with you and enjoy!
